Navigating Adult Diabetes Services is a FREE program, offering a series of free online seminars designed for people living with type 1 diabetes or LADA. Whether you are newly diagnosed or have been managing it for years, this program is for those who want to better understand and access adult health services.
Held over four engaging sessions, the program runs fortnightly with multiple session times available each week to suit different schedules. Each session covers essential topics for thriving with diabetes in adulthood, including chronic condition health care planning, navigating both public and private health systems, and understanding your rights around study, work, driving, and more.
We’ll also dive into other essential topics including mental health care plans and explore the power of peer support - because living well with type 1 diabetes takes more than just clinical care.
This program was designed by people who live with Type 1 Diabetes and it is a practical and supportive space to build your confidence in managing your health, ask questions, and connect with others who truly understand. Whether you’re transitioning from paediatric to adult care or just want to better understand the system, the Navigating Adult Diabetes Services program, is here to help make sense of it all.
