The PDC Pay It Forward Program: A Community Initiative

Author(s)
Lucy Woods

At the heart of the PDC Pay It Forward Program lies a simple yet powerful idea: helping others. Established to foster a sense of community and support among clients, visitors, and staff, this program encourages acts of kindness and generosity, ensuring that everyone can benefit from the goodwill of others.

Why the program was established

The PDC Pay It Forward Program was created in response to a growing need for accessible support and resources within our community. Recognising that many individuals face barriers to receiving essential items and services, the program aims to bridge this gap by leveraging the collective efforts of our community members. By encouraging donations and creating a structured system for distributing these resources, the program ensures that help reaches those who need it most.

How the program will help

The program is designed to provide tangible assistance in a variety of forms, from items such as glucose tablets and orthotics to valuable services we provide here at PDC. Clients and visitors can select tags from the program grid located at the front reception in our East Victoria Park clinic, each tag representing a specific item or service to be donated. These donations are then matched with individuals identified by clinicians as needing assistance.

How you can Pay It Forward

Participating in the PDC Pay It Forward Program is simple and impactful. When visiting our East Vic Park clinic, take a moment to choose a tag from the grid at the front reception. Each tag outlines a specific item or service needed. Your contribution will be recorded and added to our program.

By donating, you're not only providing immediate help to someone in need but also fostering a culture of generosity and support within our community. Your small act of kindness can make a significant difference, demonstrating the power of paying it forward.

Join us in this meaningful initiative and help us build a stronger, more supportive community. Together, we can ensure that everyone has access to the resources they need to thrive.
